Intralase Lasik Surgery Process
While looking for a doctor's name for a friend, I clicked on the laser surgery link on the website of Dünyagöz hospital. There was a nice calculation there. How much money you will lose if you use glasses and how much money you will lose if you use lenses. I looked at it first, I have given billions so far for lenses and glasses... Then I was curious and filled out the form of are you suitable for laser. As soon as I officially pressed the form submit button, they called back and made an appointment for Saturday, October 15, and said that you will wear glasses in 1 week. Wearing glasses for 1 week was a nightmare for a person who has been wearing lenses for more than 10 years. Anyway, my 1 week nightmare was over, I was examined. My doctor said that my eyes were not suitable because I was wearing lenses, but that they were not in very bad condition. He gave a drop and tortured me with glasses for 1 more week. After using glasses for 1 more week, I went to Dünya eye again on Saturday, October 22. After being examined again, I learned that I was suitable for surgery and prepared for surgery.
The surgery is so pleasant and painless that I cannot explain. I did not like the first part very much. In the first 1 minute they do something in a room for 30 seconds, I didn't like it. Even my blood pressure dropped and I felt like fainting. But the 2nd part was very fun. They ask you to look at a green light, only red lights flicker in between, while loud music plays in the background, that green light starts to become clearer. This fun lasts for 4-5 minutes in total and the operation ends. I said why did it end, I was having so much fun. I never thought I would like washing my eyes so much. The surgery is over, I got up from the table and I said “Oh my God, I see!!!” like in Turkish movies. The surgery is really over and you start to see instantly. I definitely recommend this surgery if your eye is suitable.
The 4 hours after the surgery is a complete torture, you have to keep your eyes closed for 4 hours. I did not have any pain, burning, itching. I dripped my drops very properly and I am still dripping. The computer screen makes my eyes very tired now, while I used to look at it for 4 hours straight, now when I look at it for 1 hour, my eye starts to ache, but I mean, it's the 3rd day after surgery.
I don't know if anyone will read this, but I highly recommend Ankara World Eye Hospital and Op. Dr. Sibel Şalvarlı. As for the price, I paid 97 liras for my first examination because I was SSK (you pay 70% of it if you are SSK) and I paid 990 € for my surgery. I think you should definitely have surgery if your eyes are suitable for surgery instead of suffering from glasses and lenses.
Love...
